Strategic Planning: I align My short-term goals with My quarterly plan, Strategy and Vision. This ensures I adjust My efforts frequently and I’m always moving in the right direction.
Weekly Sprints: I segment My time and actions into weekly intervals called Sprints, allowing for rapid iteration and frequent adjustments while maintaining a sharp focus. By adhering to My weekly planning regimen, I cultivate long-term momentum, aligning My actions with My overarching strategic objectives.
Tangible Targets: I focus on objectives that are achievable within a days. Grounded in our understanding of dopamine circuits, this tactic guarantees the best ROI for the resources (energy, time, and attention) that the My brain invests in a task. Clear rewards result in sharpened focus and low procrastination.
Goal Priorities: Using the MoSCoW framework, I prioritize My goals to maintain clarity and direction in My weekly tasks. I pick 4 goals (at maximum) per week ensures concentrated effort and undivided attention:
Must-Do (1-2 goals): These are non-negotiable goals that aligned directly with My Strategy. They form the backbone of My weekly objectives and are prioritized above all else. They should take no more than 50-60% of My time budget.
Should-Do (1-2 goals): While they may not be as urgent as the "Must-Do", they are still critical to My progress and are allocated focused attention once the primary tasks are on track or completed. They should take 30-40% of My time budget.
Day Theming: I assign specific themes to each day of the week, ensuring a balanced and strategic allocation of my time and focus. This structure aids in optimizing My attention, productivity, and achieving set objectives:
Monday-Thursday are reserved for Deep Work on primary projects, allowing Me to focus on tasks that require undivided attention and uninterrupted concentration.
Friday is primarily for documentation and meetings. This helps to keep Bus Factor high, while having buffer time for the tasks that should be closed within a week but wasn’t.
Saturday. Dedicated to My educational product called Simulator ML, ensuring its continuous development and progression: writing, management and live-coding.
Sunday. Reserved for self-improvement, self-analysis, learning, GTD, Notion, and other personal growth activities. I avoid any other work in this day.
Time Budgeting: I track My time I focused on each project and evaluate it against planned time (and “attention share”) to ensure I invest sufficient efforts into each direction of life from the perspective of My Strategy. If a significant divergence found, I either re-direct My attention next week, or update My priorities (and personal expectations).
